Background: Deligaris [link]

This is a collaboration between myself and Deligaris. I had modeled and rendered the Phoenix, but didn't have an acceptable background to put it on. I remembered that I had favorited one of Deligaris' pieces [link] that had a fantastic background that would work perfect for a cell rendering of the Phoenix. I sent him a not with the idea of a quick collaboration and..... the rest is history.

Can't put my finger on it but the colour scheme reminds me of either Thunderbrids or some series I saw as a kid from Japan. And yes, it was when TV was invented ;)

Lol. I remember the thunderbirds. But you actually might be thinking of Battle of the Planets or Gatcheman. That's what this is. It came to the states right around the time TV was invented. hahah.

Hehe, the model and shader look good :)
You could also color match the vehicle with the bg so that they better (adding some green or emerald tint from photo filter maybe). The same goes for lighting ;)

Thanks for the complement on the model. And you know what? I did do a color match in PS with the BG. Maybe I reduced it too much. Hmmmm.... I'll try it again to see if I can make it more noticable. But good eye man! Damn good eye!!

And thanks again for the use of the background. I was tired of looking for a good photo that I could manipulate.

Man, i have not seen anything like that since i was about 8.
I remember racing home from school to watch "G-FORCE", every day. Well done.
